Maxvolt Listing on BSE

Maxvolt Listing on BSE

The Delhi-NCR battery manufacturer, listed on NSE Emerge since February 2025, is building toward a full battery lifecycle platform. We backed MaxVolt through a private placement round in early 2024.

New Delhi, 19th February 2025 — We are proud to share the journey of MaxVolt Energy Industries Limited (“MaxVolt”), a Venture Garage portfolio company whose equity shares listed on the NSE Emerge (SME) platform on 19 February 2025.

In early 2024, ahead of its listing, we raised a private placement round for MaxVolt and, true to how we work, invested alongside it. MaxVolt’s path from a privately funded battery maker to a listed company is exactly the journey, from first cheque to IPO, that Venture Garage was built to support.

Why we backed Maxvolt

MaxVolt is not a greenfield bet. It is an operating, revenue-generating battery company that manufactures lithium-ion battery packs at its 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Duhai, in Delhi-NCR.

Over the years, it has built a multi-channel market presence that is hard to replicate:

  • 15+ states served, reaching 1,750+ PIN codes
  • 945+ dealers in its distribution network
  • 41+ OEM customers and 100+ OEM and channel partners

That footprint gives MaxVolt something most new entrants in India’s battery space are still trying to build: real customers, real distribution and real manufacturing experience.

The long-term story: a full battery lifecycle platform

MaxVolt is building from an operating battery business today into an integrated battery platform tomorrow, starting with EV and battery energy storage (BESS) deployment and extending into second-life applications, recycling and critical-material recovery. We see that journey running on three compounding layers:

  • Scale. Expanding manufacturing capacity to deepen its exposure to EV, BESS and larger-format battery demand.
  • Depth. Moving beyond battery manufacturing into BESS, OEM solutions, industrial applications, digital traceability and lifecycle management.
  • Circularity. Building ReEarth into a platform for second-life use, recycling, black mass and critical-material recovery, so MaxVolt participates in a battery’s value well beyond the first sale.

We believe this combination of an established operating base and a clear lifecycle strategy positions MaxVolt well as India builds out its EV and energy storage ecosystem.

When we backed MaxVolt in early 2024, we were not backing a slide deck. We were backing a team that had already built a working battery business, with a factory, customers, OEM relationships and a dealer network that reaches deep into India. What excited us was where they wanted to take it. Most battery companies stop at the sale. MaxVolt is building for the entire life of the battery, from EV and storage deployment to second life, recycling and critical-material recovery. As India electrifies, that circular model will matter as much as manufacturing scale. We were proud to support MaxVolt on its journey to the public markets, and we look forward to backing the team as it builds one of India’s integrated battery platforms.
