GARAGER: Venture Garage as a partner working with the founding team to take a startup from the early stages of RAISING CAPITAL till Series A

Purpose and Goal

The entrepreneur journey that starts from the “best idea ever” and goes through a roller coaster of ups and downs is what we strive to be part of.

The “Garager” program is one of a kind designed to HANDHOLD startups through their early years and focus on four key thrust areas of building a strong story, market access (GTM) and product & digital development while we strive towards raising capital and growth.

Our goal is to make the startup with as little burn as possible. We do not believe in high burn startups at the early stage. We believe that PRODUCT, PROCESS and PEOPLE make an enterprise and we work towards making the enterprise scalable and refundable.

The startup gets Venture Garage as a partner, an approach that is very different from that of Accelerators and Incubation programs.

Criteria

While we encourage all early Startups to apply for the “Garagers” program, it works best for the startups matching the following criterion:
1. The startup moved beyond just a concept note and have at least reached a prototype stage
2. The startup has funds to survive for at least one year
3. Has a strong and dedicated founding team

The “GARAGER” program runs for one year.

4 Key Areas of Delivery

Raising capital remains the primary focus of this program, we believe there are 4 key thrust areas which make an enterprise scalable and thus refundable.
1. Strategy or the Story: Monthly review meetings on business direction, action plan, milestones, roadblocks/challenges etc
2. Product: Differentiation, Focus, Product roadmap
3. People: Find mentors, advisors, cofounders & employees.
4. Go-To-Market: We use our network of 100,000+ CXOs, Business Owners & Decision makers to generate sales/business and do strategic tie-ups for rapid growth. You can use the network to find customers. You can also use our network for digital marketing activities such as emailers, social media posts & PR.

Since raising capital is a continuous activity, we bring is our capability to engage parallelly for subsequent rounds so on-going capital raising for your startup becomes a lot easier and faster.

Fees

Venture Garage would charge equity of 3-5% in the company, a monthly fee of Rs. ​25-50K, and success fees on raising capital.
