Infrax Renewable BSE SME Listing

Infrax Renewable BSE SME Listing

The residential rooftop solar company, built on speed of execution, makes its market debut. We backed Infrax through a private placement round ahead of its listing.

New Delhi, 17th September 2026 — We are proud to share that Infrax Renewable Limited (“Infrax”), a Venture Garage portfolio company, listed its equity shares on the BSE SME platform on 17 September 2026.

Ahead of the listing, Venture Garage played an active role in facilitating Infrax’s private placement and participated in the round as an investor. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to working closely with companies through critical phases of their growth, helping them build the foundations for long-term value creation and market readiness.

Why we backed Infrax Renewals

India’s renewable energy story is not a trend. It is a structural policy mandate with real subsidy money behind it.

  • India has committed to 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, against a current base of about 227 GW. Closing that gap is one of the largest infrastructure buildouts in the country’s history, and it is being executed rooftop by rooftop across every state.
  • The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana scheme aims to bring free electricity to 1 crore households, with central subsidies that make rooftop solar close to zero-cost for consumers. Residential demand is not being generated; it is being legislated.
  • Households are shifting from grid dependence to rooftop ownership, driven by rising electricity tariffs, subsidy availability and a payback of around three to four years.

We believe Infrax, with its execution engine and a manufacturing roadmap built on infrastructure it already has, is positioned to capture a meaningful share of this demand.

India’s solar transition will be won on rooftops, and rooftops are won on execution. That is what drew us to Infrax. While most of the market is slow, credit-dependent and at the mercy of supply shortages, the Infrax team built the opposite: installations in a week, inventory on standby, customers and dealers who pay upfront, and a dealer network whose loyalty has been earned over years. They did it organically and profitably, which is rare in this sector. We were proud to back them through their private placement round, and today’s listing gives them the platform for their next chapter, from installing solar to manufacturing it. We look forward to supporting Infrax as it builds one of the defining companies of India’s rooftop solar decade.
